DIY oakZERO™

An independent installation pathway for individuals, property owners, and organizations.
The DIY oakZERO™ pathway provides a clear and transparent option for people who wish to purchase an oakZERO product outright and manage all approvals, delivery, installation, and ongoing operations independently.
This pathway is designed for buyers who prefer full ownership and self‑management, without participation in AWA’s IncomeBuilt Asset™ program.
DIY oakZERO™ supports responsible, ethical housing outcomes by ensuring that buyers understand their responsibilities while maintaining complete control over how their asset is used.
Purpose of the DIY oakZERO™ Pathway
DIY oakZERO™ exists to provide:
- A simple ownership model with no program structures, commercial agreements, or revenue‑sharing frameworks.
- A pathway for property owners, community organizations, and private buyers who have the capacity and expertise to manage their own installation process.
- A transparent, ethical option for those who prefer to coordinate their own trades, approvals, and tenancy arrangements.
This supports AWA’s commitment to choice, clarity, and responsible participation across all oakZERO product pathways.
